Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy which recognizes the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions. It is a holistic approach to health care that strives to balance all the systems of the body, and provide overall good health and wellbeing. It is drug-free and non-invasive, focusing on treating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework, which includes the joints, muscles and spine. Osteopathy's aim is to positively affect the body's nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems. Now it is very much possible to get treated with Osteopathy first time in lucknow.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is an upcoming treatment of choice in reducing pain, rehabilitating and neurological treatment. is a gentle form of treatment. It can be used to treat people of all ages. Cranial osteopaths are trained to feel a subtle, whole-body motion that is present within all tissues. The emphasis of a cranial osteopathic treatment is on the whole body, rather than on all the separate parts that make up our bodies. We consider that optimal health will occur when the whole body is in balance and functioning as one unit. A cranial osteopath is trained to diagnose any strains that are preventing the expression of optimal health. They will gently help your body’s natural self-healing mechanism to release any unwelcome strains, enabling a state of health and balance to be restored. This process can be deeply relaxing and we encourage our patients to take this opportunity to rest and unwind during treatment.

WHAT CAN A CRANIAL OSTEOPATH TREAT ?

Cranial osteopaths treat muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia, and the nervous and circulatory systems to facilitate change. Our osteopaths have observed that cranial osteopathy can assists in the treatment of the following:

  • Neck and Back pain
  • Headaches and Migraines
  • Pregnancy related complaints
  • Sciatica and leg pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Work Injuries
  • Hip pain
  • Sport Injuries
  • Joint and muscle pain
  • Arthritis
  • TMJ/ Jaw Pain
  • Tiredness/Fatigue
  • Sinusitis
  • Visceral Osteopathy

Visceral Osteopathy assists functional and structural imbalances throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive and lymphatic dysfunctions. It increases proprioceptive communication within the body, thereby revitalizing a person and relieving symptoms of pain, dysfunction and poor posture. Visceral Osteopaths also consider the movements and quality of internal organs (also called viscera: stomach, liver, intestines, lungs, etc..) to treat back, neck, shoulders, and legs problems. The stomach and liver are suspended by ligaments to the diaphragm. So when this latter is not moving effectively, it affects the structures that are attached to it.

How can Visceral organ cause back pain ?

The stomach, liver, intestines and other viscera are partly innervated by nerves that comes out from the spinal cord (housed in your spine). But the nerve traffic goes two ways: it goes to the stomach, but the stomach also sends back messages to the spinal cord (and brain) if it is not happy. If the pain is constant and chronic, the stomach will “bombard” the level of the spinal cord (through the greater splanchnic nerve ) of messages that could be interpreted as muscular pain in the middle of your back by your brain.

That is why we are interested in your eating habits, food intolerance It can have a direct impact on your back. The same applies for the issues with bowels, and any other viscera, including the gynecological ones.

While Osteopaths would always look at the mechanical aspects of a lesion first, they need to contemplate other aspects of the body. If the patient is not responding to that first line of structural action, you need to take into account additional aspects of the patient’s health and address them. And often it results in positive changes for the patient.
